We love tocino but I don’t anymore buy these ready-made when I can do something that can taste like tocino.
Here is how my homemade chicken tocino look like:
Ingredients:
1/3 cup soy sauce/oyster sauce
5 T brown sugar
1 T salt
a few dashes of ground peppermill (I use bottled)
1/2 T of balsamic vinegar
several diced garlic cloves (I don’t dice because I use garlic presser. I just put the garlic after these were pressed)
1 kilo chicken thigh fillet (choice cuts)
Procedure:
1. Put all ingredients except chicken thigh fillet and mix thoroughly.
2. Put the chicken thigh fillet in the sauce and marinate overnight.
What I did was put the marinating chicken fillet in separate containers so that I don’t need to bring out one big container every time I cook these.
Serve with fried egg and fried rice. Yum.
