There is something about strawberries + bananas that makes it go well together that my taste buds really love. Throw in plain yogurt and Yakult and I am definitely thinking happy thoughts.
I do love that Banana Ice Cream that I frequently prepare. I have another variety with dried figs + peanut butter.
This strawberry-banana ice cream though is better in terms of smell and taste. I’d still have this even without strawberries when not available for purchase nearby.
Ingredients:
4 frozen bananas (I used Saba variety)
5 big frozen strawberries
4-5T plain yogurt
1 bottle of Yakult
Procedure:
Put everything in a food processor and blitz until desired consistency. Garnish with sliced strawberries or bananas.
I did this in three batches: bananas, strawberries and bananas. I have a small coffee bean grinder that came with the blender and I use it as my food processor 😀 I divided the plain yogurt and Yakult for each batch that I processed so that I’d be able to layer in the jar when I’m done.
Kids loved it and so another batch will be made later.
