My son was inflicted by a viral infection and has been on bed rest for more than a week now. Among the frequent small meals I gave him are fruit bites.

Fruits are rich in nutrients that nourish the body. Fruits also help hydrate the body especially when fever and other illnesses weaken the immune system.

Some of the fruit bites I gave my boy are the following:

Lunch: fresh papaya bites for my boy

Papaya Bites

Fresh fruit cocktail for the kids

Watermelon bites

Watermelon bites.

The key to feeding fussy and no-appetite sick children is to give them bite-size easy to eat nutrient dense food.
