Bread pudding is what you make with left-over bread when everyone else is tired of eating sandwiches?

Below is a bread pudding I love to make for the family.

Bread Pudding

I didn’t read on how to make bread pudding so I just went with gut instinct when I made this one:

Ingredients:

  • 3 eggs
  • a cup of milk
  • half a cup of condensed milk
  • sprinkles/dashes of cinnamon
  • several tablespoons of butter
  • several slices of loaf bread, torn in bite size, crust included

I mixed together the first four ingredients while I warmed and melted the butter in the baking dish.

Then I put the bread pieces in the baking dish and poured the milk mixture.

I let the mixture sit for a few minutes and baked for 25 minutes or so, until the pudding became puffy and golden brown.

Cool slightly before serving.

No special sweet sauce for this bread pudding because the condensed milk is sweet enough.

NOTE #1: I made another batch where the leftovers are placed in the fridge. I ate it cold and it was delicious!

NOTE #2: Experiment with other ingredients like raisins, use of vanilla extract, cream, nutmeg, cut fruits like apple and/or berries, chocolate chips, cheese or even nutmeg powder.

Looks good Teacher J! They say use old bread(dry but not moldy) for better pudding.
