Nomama Artisanal Ramen

September 11th, 2012

So, my friends and I went to the Nomama 1 Peso Ramen Bowl (On your second order of a ramen bowl, that is). Here was what my friend Cookie and I ordered:

Nomama Ramen

Nomama Ramen: House pork stock, special miso-sesame blend, chashu, tamago 295.00

The Nomama Ramen was ok, with just the right flavor, not too salty and not too flavorful (that it feels like bullion of seasoning was dunked in it). The noodles were a bit soft when I started to eat and by the time I was eating halfway through (we don’t eat fast because there is so much to talk about!), the noodles were a bit limp already. Perhaps we should’ve concentrated on eating first more than talking. I don’t know. I wasn’t able to finish the soup because it was a big bowl. I however ate all the soft pork slices and the egg halves.

Nomama Thai Green Curry Ramen

Chats ordered the Thai Green Curry Ramen and I think her daughter ordered the same like what we had. The Thai Green Curry Ramen’s soup tasted delicious and creamy.

Nomama Tuna Avocado

We also enjoyed the other order: Tuna and Avocado: Sushi grade tuna loin, avocado, ponzu, (arugula?, mizuna?)

All photos taken with a mobile camera.

Overall, it was a good experience but would be more enjoyable if the staff/crew smiled more when they interact with the patrons. The interiors were clean and simple. Food was a bit pricey though.

This is Pancit 1913 from Adarna Food Culture. The youngest daughter ordered this ONE when we had lunch at the Adarna Food Culture last Sunday. It was also one of the choices of a restaurant/food review, Good Pinoy Eats in a recent issue of the Philippine Airlines Mabuhay magazine. The number 1 restau [ ... ]
