California Crunch Cassava Chips

When I got an email asking me if I want to try a new kind of chips, I didn’t hesitate to say “YES!” 😀 For someone who loves to munch on chips, trying out a new product is definitely an adventure of the taste buds.

Presenting: California Crunch Sour Cream and Onions Cassava Chips

California Crunch Cassava Chips

The children and I first tried the California Crunch Sour Cream and Onions Cassava Chips, sour cream and onions being the favorite flavor for chips. The chips are a bit thicker than your usual potato chips. These are crunchier too and it is recommended to bite the chips into smithereens before swallowing.

Anyway, the eldest daughter, who has the “nose” and the “taste buds” for good food mentioned that these chips taste like her favorite sour cream and onions potato chips. That means she likes this bag of California Crunch Sour Cream and Onions Cassava Chips.

The California Crunch Barbecue Cassava Chips, which, unfortunately wasn’t able to make it to a photo opp, was sweet and spicy at the same time. For the son who is not fond of eating food with a bit of spiciness in it, I was surprised to see him alternate eating the chips and drinking water. I thought he would not like the flavor but he did. And he loved it, so he told me.

As for me, what I like about California Crunch Cassava Chips was that cassava, compared with potatoes, has more fiber content and potassium. The chips were not too oily. Read the rest of this entry »
