Avocado and Banana ice Cream

August 15th, 2014

June and July are months when avocado is in season.

We love this creamy goodness that is full of essential vitamins and minerals and fats and fatty acids.

Why don’t you try this avocado and banana ice cream?

Ingredients:

1 avocado
2-3 pieces banana (preferably SABA variety)
1/4 cup of unsweetened cocoa powder
1/4 cup of muscovado sugar + 1/2 cup of fresh milk OR 1/2 cup condensed milk

Add a little water as you go along.

Procedure:

Blitz everything together. The consistency will be thick and this is what you want for your ice cream.
Transfer in a glass jar and freeze. Every 30 minutes or so, you can mix the ice cream to avoid getting ice crystals.

I reserved a little of the thick ice cream for a smoothie drink.
