In line with the Lenten season, Yoshinoya is offering Yoshinoya Shrimp Katsu:
The Yoshinoya Shrimp Katsu are deep-fried shrimp patties and topped with Japanese mayo. These patties are served with mixed vegetables and rice. Price: 140.00 Jumbo plate with beef costs PhP185.00
The Shrimp Katsu was a bit dry and there’s something lacking that I can’t pinpoint. Maybe there should be a choice of what sauce to use because if it was up to me, I’d rather use a sweet-chili based sauce for these shrimp patties. The vegetables are ok with me because these have a certain crunch that’s just right.
Not that I don’t like the creamy mayo because we use Japanese mayo at home. Japanese mayo is tastier than other brands and the kids love it. It is a bit more expensive than the usual though which is why we use it sparingly, LOL.
Cap off your meal with green tea or apple green tea AND Chocolate Mousse.
Yum!
Here is Yoshinoya Bangus Kabayaki, another Lenten offering.
